Jesus Loves Me

A few days ago I discovered that Stella really does listen to EVERYTHING I say, sing or do.  While we were playing, I began to sing Jesus Loves Me (a song I sing to her EVERY night while rocking her to sleep) and all of a sudden she started singing along with me.  Talk about being completely shocked - I was amazed!!  She mumbled a few phrases in the song but for the most part she knew exactly what to sing and when.  We've been "practicing" now that I know she understands so I shot this video before nap time.  (Be sure to mute my playlist.)

Mom = Blessed

A week ago we went to Columbia to celebrate Mother's Day and what a special day it was.  It was a day of reflection for me....to be a mother is truly an amazing gift.  I'm forever grateful for all of the love and support my mom has shown me throughout the years and I'm truly blessed and honored to be a mother to the most precious, beautiful little girl.

For Mother's Day we were able to see a lot of our family in Columbia.  We went to church and then headed to a yummy Greek place for lunch.

 I don't think it gets much sweeter than this.  Someone is smitten over their niece.  And someone is smitten over their Uncle John...aka Dutch.

What a wonderful day to celebrate mothers, sisters, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, aunts, cousins, friends and any other woman who has ever cared for or loved a child.  Happy Mother's Day to all!

Fun-Filled Family Weekend

Now that Kyle isn't coaching baseball anymore, it's so nice to be able to have the weekends to enjoy family time and this weekend was no exception.  Friday while Kyle was traveling back from St. Louis (work stuff), Stella and I were busy being princesses and watching the Royal Wedding.  All I can say is WOW - what a stunning bride, Princess Kate was.  So gorgeous and you could tell Prince William was in awe. :) After watching the beautiful wedding we headed outside to enjoy the beautiful sunshine.  Stella got a water table for Easter and she was finally able enjoy it.

A few months ago we purchased a membership to the zoo so we thought we'd take advantage of our membership and the awesome weather on Saturday and head to Columbia.  We hadn't seen the penguin exhibit yet so that was our first stop when we arrived.  Stella LOVED them!

 Always hamming it up!
 This big turtle was happy to see us.
 Since Stella was wearing her smocked turtle outfit, we had to take time for a photo op.  If you remember our first zoo trip, we took pics on the infamous turtle.  This turtle has been there since my high school days so it's neat to see he's still around.
 My sweet family. <3

 The merry-go-round was our last stop before heading home.  She loved it and did NOT want to get off.
After we made it back home it was water table time again!  Do you think she's a happy girl?!  LOL
 Some diva took mommy's spot laying out! ;)
 We ended our perfect weekend by going to church today.  We're so blessed to have a wonderful church that we love so much.  While Stella is still adjusting to being in the church nursery, I think we're slowly making progress.  YAY!
What a wonderful fun-filled family weekend!
This pic was taken earlier this week but I just had to post.  Look how big my sweet little girl is!  Can't believe she's growing so fast!
