SLD in 3D

On Monday, Kyle and I had our next scheduled appointment to check on SLD and we also had a 3D ultrasound scheduled. We were so excited at the chance to see our sweet little princess again and couldn't wait to see her "in action". However, SLD had other plans! At first she was not cooperating - she must not take after her mommy b/c I love the camera and definitely love performing!! ha ha Finally after turning on my side we were able to see her and she finally started "dancing". We were truly amazed by her beauty and the ultrasound tech lady must have been too because she literally gave us over 50 pictures to take home with us, including a dvd. She kept mentioning how much she thought SLD looked like me - she said she had my nose, my lips, my eyes and my chin. I think Kyle started getting a little jealous so he asked to take a "look" at her ears. After laughing at us, the ultrasound tech zoomed in on lil SLD's ears and she doesn't appear to have her daddy's ears either! LOL Guess we'll have to see when she arrives who she really looks like. Either way, we know she will truly be beautiful and we can't wait to finally meet her in person. Not too much longer - only 8 weeks or so to go!! :)

Here's our sweet girl sleeping on her arm - she looks so peaceful! And did I mention, beautiful!? :)

Check out those lips and precious nose! Such a dollbaby!

Couples Shower for The D's and SLD

I'm 31 weeks this week and getting bigger every day - our little girl is growing, growing, growing! Saturday our wonderful neighbors hosted a couples shower for us to celebrate SLD and we were surrounded by so many friends and family.

Everything at the shower was SO nice...

...adorable flowers on the tables...

...Kyle's favorite dessert - peanut butter banana pudding...

...and my favorite dessert - WATERMELON & SWISS CAKE ROLLS!! What more could a pregnant girl ask for! Our neighbors sure do know us!

We received tons of awesome gifts for SLD - boy will she be set when she arrives in September.

Our neighbors also created this sweet poem that I can't wait to frame and put in SLD's room - so sweet! And check out the precious invite!
Thanks so much to everyone and thanks to our awesome host - Amanda & Jeremy, Terri & Tyler and Stephanie & Mike. You guys are the best neighbors we could ever ask for and we're truly lucky to have you as friends as well!

Shower for Me & SLD

This past Saturday, 11 of my girlfriends threw me and SLD a fabulous baby shower where I was surrounded by family members and friends. The decorations were so adorable - in my "signature colors" of pink and green, of course. ;)

The food was DE-LISH! So many yummy things to eat - fresh fruit, chicken tenders, veggies, quiche and dips just to name a few!

I loved the precious petit fours with SLD's initials and they were scrumptuous too!

After playing a few games, it was time to open gifts - and holy cow, there were so many!

My friend Stacey has her own online children's nursery decor business and she handmade a special lamp for SLD's room - how beautiful!

We got tons of things off her registery so that will be a big help when she arrives. We also got a lot of things with her initials monogrammed on them - so cute!

And of course, some Gamecock gear - GO COCKS!

Kyle's mom suprised me and gave me beautiful things that were in Kyle's nursery when he was a baby. I can't wait to tell SLD about them when she grows up - so special!

And everyone knows SLD will be a baseball fan and will be at all (well, most) of Daddy's games so she HAS to have outfits and burp cloths for those. Thanks, Ali! :)

Here are the awesome hostesses with the mostesses...Mels, Ali, Kell, Dunc, Marty, Mere, Mary, A, Chrissi, Laurie and Valek. You ladies are the bomb!! Thank you SO much for such a wonderful shower!

Sneak Peek

While I was away on a mini vacation in Hilton Head to visit my aunt, Kyle was hard at work painting the nursery. I came home on Sunday, June 28th to find the room was well underway to be "fit for a princess!" The walls are painted green and have an elegant stripe pattern, thanks to Kyle's awesome painting skills. The furniture was delivered Tuesday, June 30th and I couldn't wait to wash her beautiful bedding and see it all together. Here's a sneak peek at our princesses room! Isn't it gorgeous!?!

When I came home from work on Wednesday, July 1st Kyle had a wonderful surprise waiting for me - he had the glider and ottoman delivered!! Our little girl's room is coming together and I can't begin to tell you how beautiful it really is. The photos definitely don't do it enough justice.

Of course Bella and I had to try it out and we give it an A+! It's SO comfy and I can't wait to rock our sweet baby girl in it.

I'll definitely be taking more pics of the nursery as it progresses so stay tuned!
